CBSPD - CSPDT Certification

The C.S.P.D.T. certification exam is the introductory certification for Sterile Processing staff. Completion of the exam indicates that a technician is competent to perform the role of a Sterile Processing Technician.

HSPA - CRCST Certification

HSPA’s CRCST, CIS, CER and CHL certifications are industry-recognized credentials. In 1971, HSPA (then IAHCSMM) began formal certification of Sterile Processing (SP) technicians to recognize individuals as having the necessary competence to perform their duties within the Sterile Processing environment.
